What will Bushes legacy be? For starters, he’ll be noted as a criminal fascist who gutted the precious Constitution. He’ll be noted as the evil one who achieved the enmity of the entire world. Bush will be known as the only man in the world capable of making Osama Bin Laden look like a folk hero in comparison. (only Bush could do that.) Bushes legacy will be the scorn from a billion deeply religious and seriously committed Islamic people for decades to come. Bush will leave behind a broken and divided European alliance and alienate us from all our friends in the world. But most of all, Bush will be known as the president who destroyed the Republic of the United States of America.

Bush will leave us the bill for the deeply entrenched bunkers necessary to protect him during the coming apocalypse. Bush and his friends will undoubtedly be dug-in, well protected and well fed while we the people face the fire when the bombs are ignited in our faces and in our cities.

All because Bush really hasn’t come that far from those days on the back porch. Instead of Daisy BB guns, it’s daisycutters. Instead of shooting at frogs, it’s impoverished women and children and heads of state, and possibly journalists he’ll be shooting at. He's moved on to destroying decades old alliances that have kept the peace between the great empires of Europe and America. He’s racing to undermine and destroy the fragile democracies in South East Asia and elsewhere. And it’ll be business as usual with our Latin American vassals. As for the UN, who knows what the New World Order types have planned for them. Could be anything. Maybe a dirty bomb.

Whether his beliefs regarding the "problem," of populations is Malthusian or Social Darwinist in origin or as I suspect, just plain simple racist eugenicist, Bush is undoubtedly preparing the world and the United States for a massive population reduction. Sorry folks but that’s what Bush is setting us up for. What’s happening here is good old fashion population reduction through global warfare. And he aims to be the fullest instrument of this population reduction idea that these New World Order types secretly wax about.

There needs to be more than thirty some years between the time someone is shooting bullfrogs on the back porch to leading the only superpower on earth.. Thirty some odd years is not enough time between the two events. There needs to be a law that disqualifies deeply perverted souls from leading the free world. There needs to be a more thorough screening process to assure that people of such low caliber never make it into the high offices of power. And most of all there needs to be some system in place that guarantees that draft dodging, cheerleading, frog shooting, chicken hawking, shit for brains, scumbag, pimps like George W. Bush never pervert our precious democracies with their daddies’ penis envy complex.

Desperately seeing their window of global conquest slipping away, these New World Order types proped up this Bush jerk, to kill us all, rather than loose one square inch of their stolen property or one penny of their stolen loot. Welcome to George Bushes legacy. Welcome to the New World Order!

typified by such Leo-Straussian "Children of Satan" as Ashcroft,
Wolfowitz, and William Kristol, have succeeded in exploiting
these weaknesses of the President upon whom they prey, to induce
him to act not only against the advice of the relevant
professionally qualified advisors in these and related domestic
and foreign affairs, but to have adopted what had been proven
publicly as lies, lies which have been among the obviously
integral goads of his own manic, flight-forward lurch, toward a
needless and reckless war of incalculable ultimate consequences.

As a matter of policy, I must state the following summary
characterizations of the immoral character of the military action
now threatened by the President.

1. The President has now virtually committed himself to launch an
internationally outlawed "preventive war." The chief precedents
for such a form of war are those of Adolf Hitler, as against
Czechoslovakia in 1938, and Poland in 1939. Even worse, the chief
apologists for this internationally outlawed behavior, are those
like Vice-President Cheney, Attorney-General Ashcroft, and
others, whose public arguments for Nazi-like "preventive" nuclear
and other wars, and also for Nazi-like police-state law in the
U.S.A. itself, are directly reflections of the influence of
former Professor Leo Strauss's promotion of the Nazi law doctrine
of Strauss's own sponsor, the Carl Schmitt who had been the
author of the Weimar emergency law which was used to establish
Hitler as dictator.

2. The President's commitment creates the spectacle of the
world's greatest military power crushing a ruined and relatively
helpless people of an impoverished nation with less than
one-tenth the population of the U.S.A. Under those circumstances,
the argument that Iraq threatens the U.S.A., is cause for
remedial action by the relevant statesmen's psychiatrists, not
"preventive" force of arms against the pitiable intended victim
of the military attack.

3. The possibility of general security of this planet is typified
by what now depends upon the accelerating trends toward long-term
economic cooperation among the principal and other nations of
continental Eurasia, and a growing orientation of the ruined
United Kingdom toward partnership in such long-term Eurasian
development.

Under the real condition of a planet stricken by the hopeless
economic condition of the post-1971 world monetary-financial
system, the welfare and security of all humanity requires any
sane President of the U.S.A. to seek to play a leading
contributing role in bringing about a new economic prosperity
based upon the imperative of all our nation's great Presidents:
an enduring community of principle among the respectively
perfectly sovereign republics of the planet.

If we can free an erring President Bush from the grip of those
"Children of Satan" who are otherwise associated with Conrad
Black's Hudson Institute's "Bull Moose" project for 2004, that
happier condition of our planet is now in reach. To that end,
constructive forms of cooperation with our European partners, is
presently the first line of defense of our own national security.

Invasion begins

US war commanders grabbed the element of surprise after all. While most analysts and forecasters predicted a mighty aerial-missile blitz over Baghdad as the war’s opener, the campaign began Wednesday, March 19 with a lighting advance by Marine forces into southern Iraq along the Shatt el Arb River towards the big naval base and town of Umm Qasr. Fighting alongside the Americans are two brigades of the British 1st Armored Division and naval vessels landing Marine units south of Basra. I was watching CNN at around 4:30 AM EST time on March 18th. I saw the screen flash to a different image for an instant. Probably around a tenth of a second. My roommate didn't notice, but he is not the most focused person. I'm pretty sure there was an image flashed. It appeared green with a darker green shape in the center. The darker green shape in the center looked like a country off of a map. I am not joking. What do you people think? Does anyone happen to have a tape of CNN's broadcast during that time?

Raul -- I have noticed all kinds of subliminal messages on CNN news footage, background scrolls, etc. Subliminal messages are nothing new. They were used back in the 50's to advertise Coke at drive in movies. More recently, they were used in the 2000 election in a negative ad against Al Gore. http://www.cnn.com/2000/ALLPOLITICS/stories/09/12/bush.ad/

During the Gulf War, the US broadcasted audio subliminal messages over the same radio frequency used by the Iraqi Army, telling the Iraqis to surrender (which they did, by the way).

I wrote a comment address this phenomenon of distorted news footage, keyed-in scrolling backgrounds, pictures that cut in and out, wierd "flash" effects on news footage, etc. on the Global Indymedia newswire, and the article disappeared -- it wasn't even in the hidden article section. I wrote an article about in the Portland Indymedia as well, when I find the link I'll post it.

It might be nice if there were a requirement that a potential president has to have EVER been overseas.

It might be nice if we the people had a way to legitimately select from a wide feild of candidates rather than a choice of two hand picked RNC/DNC candidates (in light of the fact that the DNC & RNC does more to select the candidates than the primaries actually do). I can't for the life of me figure out why people have lost their outrage over the fact that we had a choice between BUSH and GORE. E-Gads!

But, hey, foreign policy wasn't important at the time, all we needed was a nice domestic policy president who could preside over taking all our huge stock earnings and use them to give us a tax break. Well, not us exactly, but some of us.

The IRAQWAR.RU analytical center was created recently by a group of journalists and military experts from Russia to provide accurate and up-to-date news and analysis of the war against Iraq. The following is the English translation of the IRAQWAR.RU report based on the Russian military intelligence reports.

March 22, 2003, 1300hrs MSK (GMT +3), Moscow - Additional information about the situation in the primary combat areas in southern Iraq became available by 1300hrs (Moscow time, GMT +3). The US command reports about the supposed surrender of the entire Iraqi 51st Infantry Division turned out to be a complete fabrication. According to our sources the 51st Division continues to fight on the approaches to Basra and we can only talk about individual cases of Iraqi soldiers being captured in combat.

Elements of the US 3rd Infantry Division and the 1st Marine Infantry Division ended up in an exceptionally difficult situation. While attempting to encircle Basra from the north and to block An-Nasiriya elements the 3rd and 1st infantry divisions found themselves wedged between the defending Iraqi forces. The Iraqi command used this situation and delivered a decisive counterattack with up to 80 tanks in the open flank of the US forces, slicing through their combat orders. As the result of this counterattack these US units are now at risk of being separated from the main coalition forces and being surrounded.

By 1100hrs MSK Iraqi units advanced into the US attack front by 10-15 kilometers and Gen. Tommy Franks, the commander of the coalition forces, ordered his troops to switch entirely to defensive operations. At the same time he issued orders to the forward-deployed coalition tank units to halt their reconnaissance operations in the directions of Es-Samaba and An-Najaf and to move immediately to support the defending US forces. However, the situation is complicated by the fact that a part of the coalition tanks are currently disabled due to the lack of fuel and are awaiting the arrival of fuel convoys. Thus the tanks are able to gradually rejoin combat in small numbers as the fuel becomes available.

Currently the US and the Iraqi tank forces are engaged in mobile head-on combat approximately 70-90 kilometers to the south of An-Nasiriya. Combat orders have been received by the carrier borne aviation in the Persian Gulf, which until now did not take part in this battle. At the same time orders were issued to all available coalition strike aircraft in Qatar to scramble in support of the defending coalition forces.

Intercepted radio communications indicate that during the morning period of March 22 the US forces lost 10-15 tanks destroyed or disabled and up to 30 other armored vehicles. Medevac helicopters flew more than 30 search-and-rescue missions, which suggests heavy coalition losses.

Our sources report that during the early morning hours in southwestern Iraq in the vicinity of Akashat the Iraqi forces have engaged and surrounded a tactical paratroop unit of the 101st Airborne Division. Some of the surrounded paratroopers were able to break out into the desert, where they request air support and finally lost their Iraqi pursuers. However, up to 30 US troops were killed or captured in this engagement. Additionally, [Russian] radio intercept units report that one the US attack helicopters providing close air support was shot down.

The top US military command is planning to enhance the coalition command. During the Joint Chief of Staff meeting its Chairman Gen. Richard Mayers expressed strong criticism of the actions by the coalition commander Gen. Franks and proposed to strengthen his headquarters with several other senior military commanders. Gen. Franks is required to do everything he can to change the current situation on the front. Analysts believe that, if during the next 3-5 days Gen. Franks fails to achieve any significant results, than it is entirely possible that he will be replaced as the commander of the coalition forces.

Update: The coalition forces were able to capture a bridge in the suburbs of Nasiriya. Their control of the Basra airport is tentative at best as large numbers of Iraqi forces continue to resist with heavy artillery and machine gun fire. Around Basra the coalition forces have advanced at most by 1.5 kilometers. Gen. Franks has announced a change in plans: the coalition forces are no longer set on capturing Basra so not to "create military confrontations in that city." The coalition forces still do not control Umm Qasr and appear to be losing territory.

Today in the UK the BBC news have broadcast "Iraqi television showing pictures of an apache helicopter shot down near the city of Kerbala, 110 kilometres (70 miles) south-west of Baghdad".
On the nose of the helicopter are the SKULL & CROSSBONES painted in bright yellow.
Why am i not surprised as more and more NWO theories are becoming fact.

I have a friend who's wife is a spoiled rich girl who has never worked a day in her life. Apparently, her family is well-connected. Very well-connected. Someone in her family is a secret service agent in the president's entourage.

This agent was given notice to inform any friend or family living in or around New York City to "get out of the state". Something is going to happen Monday or Tuesday. Details:

It will involve a chemical or biological type weapon.

It will be set off underground central Manhattan, i.e., Times Square, Grand Central, Penn Station.

It will get into the air and water. Where it goes from there is anybody's guess. It will be very messy.

70,000 body bags are in Manhattan now. More are on the way. Over 100,1000 anticipated dead.

The city will be shut down.

This is what I was told. We believe (my friend and I) that whatever is going to happen will occur approximately 9:00 AM, under perfect blue skies, consistant with the pattern of other disasters, i.e., 9-11, Oklahoma City, space shuttle Challenger, Columbia etc etc.

According to the agent, the Bush administration feels that there is too much anti-war sentiment so "we" need another disaster event to blame on Iraq to rally public and international support for the war.

I understand that this is all heresay but it correlates with other details that I have either heard about or seen with my own eyes:

Increased police and military presence in and around New York City. Hazmat crews have been seen assembled near 42nd street & West Side Highway. Bomb scare "rehearsal" in grand Central Station on Feb 15th involving police & military. All trains and platforms were evacuated.

Increasing martial-law type police actions and brutality against peaceful demonstrators ever since Mayor Bloomberg took office. Mass arrests and round-ups.

A few weeks ago local civil defense personnel were advised to move away from New York City, by at least a 35-mile radius.

I hope that I am wrong, but I don't think so. Sorry, I didn't get word out sooner, but I only found this out last night (Saturday)

March 23, 2003, 1200hrs MSK (GMT +3), Moscow - The situation in southern Iraq can be characterized as unstable and controversial. Heavy fighting is taking place in the Umm-Qasr-An-Nasiriya-Basra triangle. Satellite and signals intelligence show that both sides actively employ armoredvehicles in highly mobile attacks and counterattacks. Additionally, fighting is continuing near the town of An-Najaf.

As of this morning the Iraqi defenses along the Basra - An-Nasiriya - An-Najaf line are holding.

Following the yesterday's Iraqi counter strike near An-Nasiriya the US command was forced to halt the advance of its troops toward An-Najaf and to redirect a portion of available tank forces to cover the flanks of the 3rd Motorized Infantry Division attacked by the Iraqis. By late evening yesterday constant air strikes and increasing strength of American tank attacks forced the Iraqis to withdraw their troops back to eastern parts of Nasiriya, across the Euphrates river, were they assumed defensive positions along the river bank.

During the last day of fighting the Iraqis lost up to 20 tanks, up to 2 artillery batteries, and around 100 troops.

Yesterday's US losses are estimated at 10 destroyed or disabled tanks, several armored personnel carriers and up to 15 troops killed in action.

By 0700hrs MSK today the fighting at Nasiriya stopped. Currently both sides are rushing to regroup their forces and to get them ready for more fighting in this area.

Near Basra the advance of the coalition forces came to a complete halt at the near approaches to the western and southwestern outskirts of the city. The US and British forces are rushing to settle into defensive positions after failing to surround Basra. Eastern and northern approaches to Basra remain open and under control of the Iraqi forces.

More controversial reports are coming in from the town of Umm-Qasr. As early as three days ago the US command has declared that the coalition forces have captured this small port town and the adjacent oil terminal. However, throughout these three days heavy fighting continued in the town and in the suburbs. The US forces are still unable to break the defense put up by the Iraqi 45th brigade defending the town.

Moreover, several counterattacks by the Iraqi forces at Umm Qasr have pushed the US forces out of some part of the town. During last night the Iraqi 45th brigade was reinforced by a special tank battalion of the 51st Infantry Division. The reinforcement included up to 600 troops and 10 tanks. However, the coalition forces were also strengthened overnight with two tank battalions and self-propelled artillery. As of 1000hrs MSK this morning heavy fighting continues at Umm Qasr.

According to intercepted radio communications, the British marine infantry units in defensive positions on the Fao peninsula have requested emergency air and artillery support after being attacked by superior Iraqi forces. So far it is not clear whether this was an actual counterattack by the Iraqis or just a nuisance attack. The British commanders report that their positions are being attacked by up to a regiment of infantry supported by tanks.

Other intercepted radio traffic suggests that, as the British and US forces bend the Basra - An-Najaf line of defense, the Iraqi command will pull back its main forces to the Al-Ammara - Ad-Divaniya line. Already most of the Iraqi forces in this region have moved to the Al-Ammara - Ad-Divaniya positions and within the next 48 hours defense of Basra and Fao peninsula will be reduced to just the local units and garrisons. The goal of the remaining forces will be to tie up superior coalition forces in these areas.

According to radio intercepts during today's night the coalition begun airdropping troops in northern Iraq from airfields in Turkey and Jordan. These forces are being used to form mobile strike groups in northern Kurdistan and near the western-Iraqi town of Er-Rutbah. Already up to 5,000 coalition troops have been delivered to northern Kurdistan and up to 1000 paratroopers have landed near Er-Rutbah.

Russian military intelligence has uncovered a range of facts pointing to a separate arrangement between the top leadership of Jordan and the US military command. Officially Jordan has declared its neutrality in the war against Iraq and refused to provide its airspace to the coalition aviation. However, at the same time Jordan has allowed the anti-Iraq coalition to place surveillance radars and radio reconnaissance stations on its territory. Jordan has also allowed the coalition to use its military airbases.

Available information indicates that coalition special ops units, including up to 400 troops and their command headquarters, have been deployed to the Jordanian Zarka military base and to the home base of the Jordan's 71st special ops brigade.

Reports that have surfaced in the media in the past 12 hours about the capture of a US special ops unit near Baghdad are probably not true. It is likely that these reports refer to the capture of coalition paratroopers yesterday morning near the town of Akashat.

During the past 12 hours there has been a drop in intensity of air strikes against Baghdad. Analysts attribute this to the fact that most of available coalition air assets are now deployed in support of ground forces. Intercepted coalition radio traffic shows that most of the bombing attacks against Baghdad are carried out by the US strategic aviation and by sea-launched long-range cruise missiles.

So far the US was unable to destroy the air defense networks in central Iraq. As before, the Iraqis continue to covertly use their radars and SAM launchers on a limited bases while employing a huge number of decoys designed to imitate radars.

The US was also unable to disrupt the central control over the Iraqi army. The US command is forced to admit that, despite the best efforts of the coalition aviation, the Iraqi forces maintain high combat readiness and reliable command and control structure.

[Russian] radio intercept units have reported the loss of two coalition planes. One of the planes was a "Tornado" strike aircraft and the other one was believed to be an F-16 fighter-bomber. The F-16 was shot down over Baghdad and is believed to have crash-landed in a desert in southern Iraq. A coalition search-and-resque unit was immediately dispatched to this area.

A CIA referent in the combat area Col. Davis (likely to be a pseudonym) and the US DoD Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) regional director were demoted due to their inadequate performance in estimating the strength of Iraq's forces and their combat readiness.

Eyewitnesses report that Gen. Tommy Franks looks extremely exhausted and irritated. Gen. Franks has cancelled the meeting with journalists planned for this morning.

Work is paralyzed at the coalition press-center in Kuwait. Journalists are not able to get any information except for the hourly press communique from the command. A variety of reasons are cited by the military to reduce the number of trips into the combat zone for the journalists. All reports coming from the journalists attached to the coalition units are now being strictly censored by the military. All live broadcasts, as those seen during the first day of the war, are now strictly prohibited by a special order from the coalition command. The required time delay between the time news video footage was shot and the time it can be broadcast has been increased to a minimum of 4 hours.

More accurate information became available regarding the losses sustained by both sides during the first three days of the war. The coalition has officially acknowledged the deaths of some 25 servicemen. However, intercepted radio communications show that the actual number of coalition casualties is at least 55-70 troops killed and no less than 200 wounded. The emergency dispatch of the "Comfort" medical ship closer to the combat zone is a direct indication of serious casualties. The "Comfort" is expected to arrive to the southern tip of the Fao peninsula later tonight.

It is more difficult to evaluate the losses of the Iraqi especially due to the air strikes. On the south front Iraqi losses are estimated at 400-600 killed, 1,500 wounded and up to 300 captured.

Whether or not the previous post's content was originated from a hoax or factual information...

It didn't happen, which is a relief.

I just came across it last night and figured that if something did happen, and I didn't get it timestamped by posting it up here, there would have been less of a case towards evidence pointing to a henious crime of deception.

Either a hoax, or a plot that was foiled or delayed..

And if this was a true plan... and anyone reading this was, in anyway, privvy to any of it's details... Then consider it part of your TRUE duty to get the evidence out into the public arena. It is only with the dedication of REAL duty and TRUE conscience of morality that such a heroic act towards GENUINE PEACE will occur.

We Need Truth. Not Deception.

Scince january I have frequented joe viallis's website. I was sad at the downtime of vox thinking to myself "there goes another voice of freedom".

I don't like governments anymore. Democracys are dictatorships and dictatorships are governments who do not fit in with USA's master plan.

I want anarchy, I am prepairing for it. Once the world is cast into nuclear winter there may be a chance for me to survive. Justice will be swifter, or maybe i have been playing too much fallout.

Maybe the israely lady who try to pass anthrax at laguardia airport have something to do in this.What could be worse then bio-weapons.I thanks god to not let this shit happend but they will try something else quick .I have profound feeling ww3 comets and armageddon might be coming.Everywhere i look now i see 11:11 15:15 15:33 8:33 9:33 10:33 5:11 7:11 like always same numbers .Anyway i had alot of psyshic thing in my life but nothing like these days.I hope i wrong....

17 months later, Rudi Dekkers gets taken downtown

A year-long MadCowMorningNews investigation has uncovered evidence that at least seven of Mohamed Atta's closest associates in Florida during the year leading up to the 9/11 attack were not Arab, but German.

The names of the seven, all pilots, have not surfaced in any press accounts of Atta's stay in the U.S., nor has their existence been mentioned or alluded to in official statements.

Traveling with Atta, or meeting him around the state, Atta's German friends appeared to share a relationship with him of long-standing, according to eyewitnesses, dating back to his days in Hamburg.

The meetings, in places like Key West and Miami, were apparently very serious business; when they returned, said someone who was there, Atta and his German associates "always came back glum."

Only one of the seven is still in the U.S.; five live in Germany or Switzerland.

The seventh, with whom Atta reportedly traveled extensively, has a criminal record in Germany, and today lives in Saudi Arabia.

The identities of the seven German nationals were pieced together from information gleaned in interviews with Atta's one-time American girlfriend, corroborated by independent aviation sources in Venice and Naples, FL.

From what has been learned so far, the backgrounds of Atta's German associates seem strikingly similar to that of another German national, Andreas Strassmeir, whose possible relationship with Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was in the news a decade ago. Strassmeir was at one point named in a lawsuit by families of the victims as a "US federal informant with material knowledge of the Oklahoma City bombing."

Strassmeir's father was once a top aide to German Chancellor Helmut Kohl; Atta's German friends are all children of the German elite.

"Glum's the word"

But before delving further into Atta's German connections, there were two other related developments in Florida last week.

In the first, the former owner of the terror flight school in Venice, FL., Rudi Dekkers, was arrested last week on a single count of felony fraud, and booked into the Collier County Jail in Naples FL.

As the MadCowMorningNews has been reporting, suspicious and often illegal activities were commonplace occurrences at Dekkers-owned flight schools at the same time the schools were training a veritable "Who's Who" of Hamburg cadre terrorists.

Now the arrest of the controversial Dutch national comes amid indications from authorities that Federal agencies involved in the 9/11 investigation are taking a closer look at Dekker's business activities in Florida during the past decade, fueling speculation he might become the first non-Arab charged in a wider 9/11 conspiracy than has so-far been revealed.

Despite settling his lawsuit with former partner Wally Hilliard, Rudi Dekker's legal woes may be just beginning, said State's Attorney Jonathon Greene.

Being forced to pose for a new mug shot is just the latest in a series of reversals suffered recently by the Venice "Magic Dutch Boy," so-called because he is one of two Dutch nationals who owned flight schools at the Venice Airport which each--by apparent freak coincidence--ended up training terrorists to fly.

Dekkers also recently lost his battle for control of Huffman Aviation. Last week its sale to new owners was ratified by the Venice City Council in a unanimous voice vote, amid questions about who had been responsible for approving Dekker's lease at the Venice airport in the first place.

Then, too, Dekker's helicopter crashed recently, while he was en route to a showdown meeting with partner Wally Hilliard over control of Huffman Aviation.

In another apparent 'freak coincidence,' the owner of the second Dutch-owned flight school at the Venice Airport, Arne Kruithof, has also recently suffered a near-fatal aviation mishap. His happened last summer, when his plane fell from a hundred feet in the air onto the runway of the Venice Airport.

It appears as if both Dekkers and Kruithof would be well-advised to stay away from open windows.

Atta's German buddies

The German element arrived in Florida with "Wolfgang" in 1996. Prior to arriving in Naples he was associated with an organization called "The Flying Club of Munich."

"Wolfgang showed up from Munich in the mid 1990s and immediately began operating a flight school illegally," stated an aviation source in Naples. "He’s half Swiss, half German."

Wolfgang was instrumental in bringing another of Atta's German associates to Florida, a pilot named "Stephan," who we were to learn has done jail time in Germany, was on parole there when he came to the U.S., and recently spent a year in Gundogdu, Turkey.

While regular German flight students struggle to obtain the necessary visas, Wolfgang and Stephan had inside connections which smoothed their progress.

“Sometimes it makes me mad that a criminal gets preference," stated one German national flight instructor in Naples with obvious bitterness.

"Wolfgang signed off on Stephan’s books, and Stephan also got in on a fraudulent business investor’s visa."

"Wolfgang was in his thirties," says Amanda Keller, who lived with Atta during March and April of 2001. "He and Wolfgang were very tight, they went everywhere together. When he came into the picture they were together all the time."

"Him and Wolfgang drove around in the red convertible," Keller remembers. "Their favorite place to eat was Hooters in Sarasota. They got kicked out for grabbing a waitress's boobs."

Keller also states that Atta always spoke German with Wolfgang, directly contradicting the testimony of Rudi Dekkers, who told a Congressional Committee that when he addressed him in German, Atta had merely looked at him strangely.

What this is all about

Less than 24 hours after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks the world's eyes were riveted on Florida’s Gulf Coast, where FBI agents swarmed the peaceful retirement community of Venice.

Authorities said the tiny airport there had served as a secret terrorist training site, teaching three of the four pilots involved in the Sept. 11attack to fly.

Since then, authorities have had strikingly little to say about Venice.

The last related development last week was the reported ‘outrage’ over 9/11 that Florida Sen. Bob Graham said prompted to join the Democratic presidential sweepstakes last week.

The 66-year-old Graham—who recently had heart surgery—has toyed with the idea of running for years, but says he always lacked “fire in the belly,” until, he says, FBI and CIA failures inspired his White House run.

Graham told NEWSWEEK, his experience last year overseeing a joint House-Senate inquiry into the events of 9-11 left him outraged by the intelligence and law-enforcement failures discovered by the inquiry—most of which, he charges, are still being suppressed by the Bush administration.

The inquiry’s 400-page report can’t be publicly released because the administration won’t declassify key portions. Graham says the report documents far more miscues by the FBI and CIA than have been publicly revealed, as well as leads that remain unpursued which point to “facilitation” of the hijackers by a “sovereign nation.” “There’s been a cover-up of this,” Graham said.

NEWSWEEK says its sources say the unnamed country is Saudi Arabia.

That may prove partly correct. But there are few--if any--Saudis named "Wolfgang."

Newsweek should keep digging.

Red Alert? Stay Home, Await Word

TRENTON If the nation escalates to "red alert," which is the highest in the color-coded readiness against terror, you will be assumed by authorities to be the enemy if you so much as venture outside your home, the state's anti-terror czar says.

"This state is on top of it," said Sid Caspersen, New Jersey's director of the office of counter-terrorism.

Caspersen, a former FBI agent, was briefing reporters, alongside Gov. James E. McGreevey, on Thursday, when for the first time he disclosed the realities of how a red alert would shut the state down.

A red alert would also tear away virtually all personal freedoms to move about and associate.

"Red means all noncritical functions cease," Caspersen said. "Noncritical would be almost all businesses, except health-related."

A red alert means there is a severe risk of terrorist attack, according to federal guidelines from the Department of Homeland Security.

"The state will restrict transportation and access to critical locations," says the state's new brochure on dealing with terrorism.

"You must adhere to the restrictions announced by authorities and prepare to evacuate, if instructed. Stay alert for emergency messages."

Caspersen went further than the brochure. "The government agencies would run at a very low threshold," he said.

"The state police and the emergency management people would take control over the highways.

"You literally are staying home, is what happens, unless you are required to be out. No different than if you had a state of emergency with a snowstorm."
